The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation has made it mandatory to protect people at work and placed a duty on employers to establish policies and procedures and ensure their employees receive appropriate training to prevent Fire at the workplace. Our Fire Marshall course is suitable for those who have responsibility in the workplace to undertake fire safety requirements and will provide learners with the knowledge to carry out designated duties as a Fire Warden/Marshall. The qualification will also increase fire safety awareness for all employees.

This course meets The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and is ofqual & sqa approved.

Assessment Information

  • The qualification is assessed by a written assessment containing 20 open and multiple choice questions
  • To successfully pass the written assessment you must achieve a minimum of 15 out of 20
  • Duration of assessment – 30 minutes
  • Question example: ‘On discovering a fire what is the first thing you should do?’
